The ore harbor

Upon their arrival at SNIM's Point Central harbor, close to Nouadhibou, the ore wagons are unloaded with a rotary tipple before the ore is stockpiled. It can also go through a granulometric process in the tertiary and quaternary crushing and screening plant.

Shiploading rotary tipple

Point Central shiploading terminal allows the loading of ships up to 150.000 t deadweight; it can also harbor ships of an even greater deadweight if only partially loaded. It is located in a bay well sheltered from the tradewinds, thus making it possible for the ore-tankers to gain full access to the loading facilities without the help of tug boats, all year round and in all weathers.
